Wednesday = Shell Stitch This can be a really pretty stitch, so let’s learn how to do it:
Chain the desired length ensuring it’s in multiples of 4 then add 1 more chain at the end (eg. If chaining 32 add 1 to make a total of 33)
Row 1: 4 dc in 5th chain from hook, then skip 3 ch, 4 DC in next ch, then skip 3 ch **, repeat from * to ** to the end of the row ending with 2dc in last chain. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 1 (counts as first sc), skip the first dc, 1 sc in each dc across row, 1 sc in top turn ch, turn. Row 3: Ch 3 (counts as 1st DC from now on), 1 dc in first st, skip 3 sc, *4 dc in next sc, skip 3 sc, 1 sc in next dc **, repeat from * to ** to 2 stitches before the end of the row. Skip next sc, 1 dc in last ch, turn. Row 4: Ch 1, Skip first dc, 1 sc in each dc across row, 1 sc in top of turn ch, turn.
Row 5: Ch 3, Skip first 2 sc, *4 dc in next sc, skip 3 sc, rep from * across, 1 dc in top of turning ch, turn. Repeat rows: Repeat row 5 until desired length is reached.
