Daddy’s Day

I cannot think of any need in childhood as strong as the need for a father’s protection          – Sigmund Freud

Sunday was father’s day here, which meant not only sorting something out for my Dad but also for the boyfriend as it was his first father’s day from our little girl.

For my Dad I went with a patriotic handmade mug…Dad Mug

For Miss P’s Daddy…                                           Fathhers Day mug

Using porcelain pens and paint takes a bit of getting used to but once you have mastered the art of a steady hand it is so simple and you can pretty much do the any design you want to. My tip is to print the design you want (if it has any text make sure you print it backwards) and then draw over the design in a pencil. Stick it to the mug with the design face down and then rub all over with the pencil. The design should be transferred and you can then use it as a guide to go over with the paint. Once the paint has dried the pencil just rubs off. Simples 😀 otherwise you can always try free hand. If you make a mistake no worries, just quickly grab a wet wipe/baby wipe and rub away the part that you have made an error on. As long as the paint is still wet you can wipe away any mistakes and make corrections.
